Louisiana College, owned by the Louisiana Baptist Convention, has just opened a new 45 person male dorm on campus. I live right down the street from the dorm and enjoyed watching Tudor Construction erect the building from the ground up. My wife and I were amazed at the speed of the construction. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
From the Town Talk:
PINEVILLE — About 45 students at Louisiana College started the school year in some new digs.
Students moved into the college’s newest residence hall, Ware Street Apartments, last week just in time for the first day of school Monday. The apartment-style dorm comprises two buildings on Ware Street.
The male-only dorm can hold 45 residents in 12 apartments, and it is almost at capacity. Eight rooms remain open, but head advisor Nathan Boles expects to fill them this semester.
The new dorm became necessary after the college experienced an 89 percent growth in student population from 2005 to 2011, President Joe Aguillard said.
