Though the title of this post may be a lame attempt at a play on words, the Baptist21 panel luncheon at the 2012 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in NOLA this June will be far from lame. The panel, thus far, will include Drs. Al Mohler, Danny Akin, Paige Patterson, and David Platt.
The panel will be discussing the Conservative Resurgence, the Great Commission Resurgence, and the future of the SBC.
According to Baptist21:
To commemorate the importance of Patterson and Pressler’s meeting in New Orleans 45 years ago, Baptist 21 will call on leaders to tell the narrative of the CR to a younger generation at this year’s SBC, and then ask the question, “Based on what these men fought for and have passed down to us, where do we go from here?”
Join us Tuesday, June 19th in New Orleans during the lunch break of the annual meeting at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, La Nouvelle Orleans Ballroom A/B on Level Two.
I am hopeful that I can attend the event, though I’m not sure I will be at the convention at all. If I do make it to NOLA, I will do my best to be there.
