The Southern Baptist blogosphere is an interesting place. There are many who desire dialogue between those of different views and such dialogue is often helpful. I appreciate and value discussing different views and being challenged for my own. However, there is no doubt a generational gap going on in the SBC blogosphere, which presumably reflects actual SBC life.

Several times on various blogs, older Southern Baptists have pulled the self-righteous “I am older than you, done more ministry than you, forgotten more than you know, planted more churches, shared the gospel more, done this and that, etc.” cards on younger folks to “put them in their place.”  It’s never helpful and almost always completely irrelevant to the topic being discussed.
